Caucasian Types of Noses
What are they?
The Caucasian race is basically a way of defining people of European origin. Strictly speaking, the term can extend to groups from North Africa, the Middle East and areas of South and Central Asia. In essence Caucasians are known as the "white" race.
The typical Caucasian nose is leptorrhine, meaning long and narrow, the shape most people aspire to. The slender nostrils and elongated bridge flatter the face.
Other features of a typical Caucasian are thin lips and paler skin.
Reasons behind the features
Being in a colder part of the planet than say Asian and African American persons, Caucasian bodies have adapted to the cold and sun deprived conditions. The protruding longer nose helps to receive and warm air in freezing temperatures, the thin lips give less surface area for this sensitive area to develop frostbite and the fair skin soaks up more sunshine.
Plastic surgery
The most common problem faced by Caucasians is a larger sized nose. This makes procedures relatively simpler than working on other ethnic groups where enhancement, narrowing and inserts are required. When reducing size, the surgeon just needs to open the skin and remove unnecessary cartilage and sometimes amounts of bone.
